EONS General Meeting:
European Oncology Nursing Society (EONS): the EONS General Meeting & Networking Breakfast will take place on Friday 27 April 2012 from 08:00 to 09:30 in Salle 2.
Breakfast will be available from 07:15 outside Salle 2.

Public transport from Geneva airport to the CICG: You can pick up a free ticket for public transport from the machine in the baggage collection area at the Arrival level. Please make sure you collect this before you leave the baggage claim area, as once outside you will not be able to get a free ticket. This ticket allows you to use public transport in Geneva free of charge for a period of 80 minutes.
Public transport: When staying at a hotel, the establishment will offer you the “Geneva Transport Card” that allows you to use public transport in Geneva free of charge during your stay. You can get more information from the establishment concerned.
Badge: For security reasons, participants are requested to wear their badge at all times during the conference. Participants who lose their badge can obtain a replacement badge at the registration desk. A replacement fee of 100 EUR will be charged.
Best Poster Award: The purpose of the Best Poster Award is to recognise outstanding posters for the EONS 8 Spring Convention. All posters will be evaluated by a committee and the winner will be notified during the conference. The award will be presented in the Farewell & Awards Session. The winner must reconfirm his/her presence at the congress and at the ceremony. The Best Poster Award will include a certificate.
Catering: A complimentary lunch will be served in the exhibition area in the Main Entrance Hall on Thursday 26 April and Friday 27 April 2012, from 13:00 to 14:00.
Participants can also obtain food and beverages from the cash bar on Level 1 during exhibition opening hours. Coffee breaks will be served on Thursday 26 April from 11:00 to 11:30 and from 15:30 to 16:00, and on Friday 27 April from 11:00 to 11:30.
Water dispensers are available in the conference venue.
Certificate of Attendance: Certificates of Attendance will be available online. Participants will be invited to complete the evaluation form in exchange for their certificate.
To access the online evaluation form and respectively the Certificate of Attendance, registered participants will receive a direct communication containing a link on Thursday 26 April 2012. The 8th EONS Spring Convention in partnership with UICC has been accredited by the EONS Accreditation Council for 10 study hours towards continuing education.
Cloakroom: A cloakroom is available in the Main Entrance Hall.

Currency: The official currency in Geneva is the Swiss Franc (CHF). Currencies can be converted in banks, hotels or exchange offices.
International credit cards are accepted in most hotels, restaurants and shops.
Electricity: Electricity in Switzerland is 220 volts, 50 cycle AC.
Most U.S. appliances require a converter and an adapter to operate, although some dual-voltage items such as laptops may only require an adapter.
Some European appliances may also require an adapter as Switzerland uses a 3-prong outlet system that is smaller than most Continental plugs.

Insurance: The organisers of EONS 8 do not accept liability for individual medical, travel or personal insurance. We strongly advise participants to obtain their own personal insurance policies. The organisers disclaim all responsibility for loss due to theft or negligence.
Internet Zone: The internet zone is offered free of charge during the conference, courtesy of EJON, and is located in the exhibition area, Main Entrance Hall.

Language: The official language of the Conference is English. No simultaneous translation is offered during the conference.
Lost and found: All enquiries should be directed to the reception desk of the CICG.
Participants are advised to mark their Conference bag and Materials with their name.

Non-smoking: There will be a strict non-smoking policy within all areas of the facilities used by the Conference.
Poster viewing: Posters are displayed in the exhibition area, Main Entrance Hall.
Poster viewing is scheduled on Thursday 26 April 2012, 10:30 to 20:00 and Friday 27 April 2012, 10:30 to 17:00.
Posters need to be displayed on Thursday 27 April 2012 as of 08:00. Display material will be provided and we kindly request you to leave your poster tube with a name tag at the cloakroom at no cost. Posters must be removed by 17:00 on Friday 27 April 2012.
All remaining posters will be removed by the organisers and cannot be recuperated.
Registration: The Conference is open to all registered participants*. For security reasons, participants are requested to wear their badges at all times.

Workshop Vouchers: The workshops require an entrance voucher. Delegates who have registered in advance will receive their voucher at the registration desk. Delegates who have not registered will be granted access upon availability.
Speaker Preview Room: The speaker preview room is located in room 09 at level −1. All speakers are requested to hand in their PowerPoint presentation at least 4 hours before their presentation. Presentations on personal laptops will not be allowed.

Networking Evening:
All delegates are invited to join the Organising Committee and EONS Executive Board members at the Networking Evening, courtesy of the State of Geneva, in the exhibition area of the Conference venue on Thursday 26 April 2012 from 17:30 to 20:00. This is your chance to meet colleagues from around the world, to network in a convivial setting and forge new links for future collaboration.
Definition of the Sessions:
Plenary Session: State of the art educational lectures and presentations on key topics related to the theme of the conference.
Parallel Session: Provides an introduction and overview of the session’s subject while allowing interaction and audience participation encouraged by practical examples, case studies and questions to the audience.
Workshop: Highly interactive session in which delegates are encouraged to participate and learn from practical application and discussions. The workshop is presented in English.
