The ESSO 32 Scientific Committee will award a number of Fellowship Grants to participants from emerging countries* to attend the 32nd Congress of the European Society of Surgical Oncology in 2012.
* Low income economies and low-middle income economies as per the classification of the World Bank.
To meet the requirements to be considered for a Fellowship Grant the applicant should:
- Be a member of ESSO
- Be under the age of 40
- Submit an abstract for ESSO 32. Applicants whose abstracts have been accepted for oral, video or poster presentations will be considered first
- Submit a letter explaining the benefit to attend the ESSO 32 Congress
- Provide a two-page CV (including date of birth and list of 5 publications)
- Provide a letter of support from the Head of the Department/Organisation stating that the applicant is not the recipient of any other financial support
- Provide a copy of the submitted abstract
The deadline for receipt of applications is 12 April 2012. Please note that incomplete applications will not be considered.
The Full Fellowship will include:
- Free registration to the meeting
- Free accommodation in one of the selected hotels (up to maximum 2 nights)
- Reimbursement of travel costs up to maximum 500 Euro (Economy ticket)
Travel Fellowships will include:
- Reimbursement of travel costs up to maximum 500 Euro (Economy ticket)
Fellowship Grants will be paid within one month after the congress upon submission of receipts.
No-show or the absence of a poster will have as a consequence the cancellation of the Grant.
