Joint ECCO - AACR - EORTC - ESMO Workshop on Methods in Clinical Cancer Research

It is a great cause of concern that there has been a striking fall in the numbers of clinical investigators in oncology – both in North America and Europe. The presence of a strong research base is essential to the future of good quality cancer care.  Clinical scientists who are able to develop and run high-quality clinical trials are vital to developing new therapies.

About elective courses

Following the success of the previous editions, ECCO - the European CanCer Organisation is organising the 7th Elective Course in Oncology for Medical Students in the city of Poznan from 08 - 19 August 2011 and another Elective Course in Antwerp from 01 - 12 August 2011.

With the key goal of encouraging medical students to specialise in an oncology related discipline, this intensive course has proven highly successful as reflected by the positive and enthusiastic feedback received from former students.
