Excellent clinical results of stereotactic radiotherapy for liver metastasis encouraged many radiotherapy centers to use his technique and several different techniques have been created. Besides the excellent clinical results low toxicity has been reported. Examples of different stereotactic treatment techniques, clinical outcome, toxicity and quality of life will be discussed.

• To describe different techniques of stereotactic radiotherapy for metastatic liver cancer.
• To discuss clinical outcome and toxicity of stereotactic treatment for patients with metastatic liver cancer. 
• To identify the patient considerations to optimise treatment selection for patients with metastatic liver cancer based on individual characteristics
