As of 19 January EuropaColon joins their US counterpart the Colon Cancer Alliance, announcing the launch of a new global colorectal cancer patient advocacy organisation, the Global Colon Cancer Alliance.

The GCCA’s mission is to unite the world in the battle against colorectal cancer by creating a global colon cancer community to ensure increased awareness of the disease, earlier diagnosis and more effective treatment options. The CCA and EuropaColon are the largest CRC patient advocacy organisation in the world.

EuropaColon has made great strides in the last five years in accomplishing its mission and it remains committed to continue its efforts in Europe. Worldwide however, CRC remains a huge global problem with more than 600,000 preventable deaths per year.
