EACR 21: Early Rate Registration Closes 31 March  //  31 Mar 2010

source: ECCO

EACR 21 provides a unique opportunity for participants to learn from and to interact with international leaders in the field of basic and translational research in order to increase knowledge, apply new data to practice, and ultimately improve patient outcomes.

This international CME-designated conference features an inspiring Opening Ceremony Lecture delivered by David Lane (UK) on ‘Stopping cancer: a challenge for science and society’. At a time when billions of Euros are spent on cancer research each year and many press releases announce "cures" on the way, Sir David will ask “How are we really doing?”

Delegates will have another chance to listen to David Lane when he presents ‘Studying the p53 pathway using Zebra fish models’ in an educational session jointly Chaired with Moshe Oren (IL) on animal models. Moshe Oren will also present a lecture on ‘p53 and cancer: a complex affair’ in one of the ‘After Sunrise: Meet the Expert’ sessions, an exciting new feature of the EACR Conference.

In the symposia programme, Mina Bissell (US) will Co-Chair a dynamic session on tumour microenvironment interaction and later in the conference present the AICR Plenary Lecture on ‘the microenvironment and the genome in breast cancer: how tissue architecture informs’.
