In support of the highly dedicated organisations, groups and individuals that are leading efforts aimed at cancer prevention and outreach, ECCO highlights just some of the many inspiring initiatives and events that the European oncology community can join and act upon today:
5th International Brain Tumour Awareness Week, 30 October – 05 November 2011
The 5th International Brain Tumour Awareness Week will be held between Sunday 30 October - Saturday 5 November, 2011 and people are encouraged to organise an activity which will contribute to increased awareness about brain tumours. It could be a walk, a picnic, an information seminar, a scientific conference, or even the distribution of a media statement to local media which draws attention to the particular challenges of a brain tumour and the need for a special response and an increased research effort.
