Following the success of the previous editions, ECCO - the European CanCer Organisation is organising the 7th Elective Course in Oncology for Medical Students in the city of Poznan from 08 - 19 August 2011 and another Elective Course in Antwerp from 01 - 12 August 2011.

With the key goal of encouraging medical students to specialise in an oncology related discipline, this intensive course has proven highly successful as reflected by the positive and enthusiastic feedback received from former students.

For two weeks, 24 students from every corner of Europe convene at the Elective Courses to receive theoretical and practical training from experienced teachers. The programme incorporates plenary sessions, case study presentations, daily special visits to various oncology departments and group course projects that must be finalised and presented at the end of the course.

Students will be selected through a competitive application process. Successful candidates benefit from free registration and accommodation at a fellow student’s home as well as a travel grant.
